Violet Love

A cooling, color-changing blend of lavender, peppermint, and butterfly pea flower for self-compassion and the tender heart. Add a squeeze of lemon and watch her travel from blue to violet to rose — alchemy in the cup. Small-batch, ceremonial, caffeine-free.

Lavender, peppermint, butterfly pea flower.

A cooling tea for the tender heart — for cultivating unconditional love, for self and for others. She meets you in the hard-to-see places: the shadow, the nigredo, the ego. Reach for her to transmute the dark and return to the path of love — to find acceptance and grace, for yourself or another.

She was born from a moon of sitting with the violet flame — deepening my own capacity for unconditional love, for myself first, then the world. Not by bypassing, not by forcing softness, but by witnessing what is — the separation, the judgment, the pain — and letting it be transmuted into Love.

The violet flame is the esoteric fire of transmutation: it doesn't battle the dark, it turns it to light — the flame of mercy, forgiveness, and freedom. It is tended by two faces of compassion. Quan Yin, who hears the cries of the world — the mercy strong enough to witness the whole of you and love you anyway. And Tara, the swift liberator, who steps forward to free you from fear, born — the story tells — from a single tear wept over the suffering of the world. Two faces of one mercy: the one who hears, and the one who acts.

In the cup, the teaching becomes visible. Lavender softens. Peppermint clears. Butterfly pea transmutes — she steeps a deep, dreaming blue, and with a squeeze of lemon she travels: blue to violet to rose, the cup moving from the depths, through the violet flame, into the color of the heart. A love that does not look away — fierce, radical, soft, and wild all at once.

1–2 tsp, covered, 8–10 minutes. Boil the water, then let it cool a breath before pouring. To witness her alchemy, add a squeeze of lemon — she'll shift from blue to violet to rose, right in your hands.

Floral, cooling, bright, and vivid — a lifting cup.

Energetically: cooling, compassion, transmutation, unconditional love.

Peppermint can aggravate acid reflux or heartburn and may lower milk supply — worth a gentle note if you're nursing. If you're pregnant, enjoy her in moderation and check with your care provider (peppermint in quantity, and the limited data on butterfly pea). Butterfly pea may carry a mild blood-thinning effect — take care if you're on blood thinners or facing surgery. Lavender is gentle and lightly calming. Not evaluated by the FDA; not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. If you're pregnant, nursing, on medication, or managing a health condition, check with your care provider first.
